Free Independence Day concerts will be held in the Camden Library Amphitheatre on Sunday, July 4, in the annual Music by the Sea celebration. Camden Rotary Club has hosted Independence Day concerts in Camden for more than 25 years.

A pop ensemble from Maine’s 195th Army National Guard Band will kick off the festivities at 1 p.m. Midcoast Brass Quintet will appear at 3 p.m. and The Right Track will follow with danceable rhythm and blues at 4:30.

This year, Camden Rotary Club awarded grants to New Hope for Women, Coastal Opportunities, Cooking for Community’s Hunger and Economic Relief Project, St. George Community Development Corporation’s Community Cupboard, the Midcoast Outdoor Leadership Initiative of Sundog Outdoor Expeditions and Bay Chamber Music School. Sponsorships of this year’s July 4 celebration will help fund next year’s round of grants.
