Looks as though I opened a hornets’ nest (“Maine Not as Expected,” Letters, April 6). To be clear, it was not my intention to denigrate the people of Maine, as many seem to think. I should have been more precise. I was not speaking of the lobstering business (that is Maine), or anyone who works from home that uses their yard to further their income. However, based on the responses, it does appear many know what I meant, and for some I hit a nerve. So to the hard-working people, accept my apology.
