The Center for Maine Contemporary Art, located at 21 Winter Street in Rockland, will offer a free tour with the Farnsworth Museum for members and Rockland residents on Sunday, July 18, at 10 a.m., and a conversation with exhibiting artist S. B. Walker on Friday, July 23, at 5:30 p.m.

Farnsworth Education Coordinator Jude Valentine and Mia Bogyo of CMCA will compare and contrast thematic artworks from both organizations. Participants will travel to both museums to view works in person, learn about varied art-making approaches and form a personal visual response. Called Tours at Ten, tours will be held every third Sunday of the month through the summer.

Artist S. B. Walker and Edward Earle, former curator of collections at the International Center of Photography, will discuss Walker’s ongoing documentary project and work included in Walker’s exhibition, “Nor’East” in-person in the Bruce Brown Gallery. Exhibition curator Suzette McAvoy will introduce them. The event is free for members; there is an admission fee for others. No RSVP is required.
