Patten Free Library in Bath will host the free Bath Book Bash outdoors in Library Park on Saturday, September 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The family-friendly book festival and celebration of children’s literature features author panels, workshops and more. Attendees are asked to wear masks.

Children’s and young-adult authors including Rodman Philbrook, Dan Poblocki, Chris Van Dusen, Maria Padian, Wendy Ulmer and Jennifer Richard Jacobson will meet with attendees and sign books, and there will be music, crafts, games, food trucks and an opportunity to meet with the famed pig Mercy Watson. Organizers describe the Book Bash as “a true celebration of children’s literature.”
