The Apprenticeshop in Rockland is holding the second annual Mary Lacy Scholarship Raffle to encourage female participation in its 12-week, nine-month and two-year boatbuilding programs. Until June 1, chances will be sold to win a Susan skiff, a 12-foot, flat-bottomed rowboat, built by one of last year’s scholarship recipients.

Visit apprenticeshop.org to purchase tickets; the raffle drawing will take place June 4.

An additional opportunity to support the scholarship effort is the “21 for $21K in 2021” initiative, which seeks at least 21 women willing to contribute at least $1,000 each toward a minimum $21,000 base for the fund. To contribute, visit apprenticeshop.org to purchase tickets or email Bella at director@apprenticeshop.org.
