Vose Library in Union’s annual fall fundraiser will feature a program called Soup and Suspense, featuring Tess Gerritsen and Gerry Boyle, on Wednesday, October 27, at 7 p.m., who will speak via Zoom. Signed copies of their books will be available for preorder, as will soup prepared by Sterlingtown Public House; both can be picked up at the library between 6 and 6:45 on the day of the event. In partnership with Come Spring Food Pantry, Vose encourages all participants to drop off a can of soup at pickup time.

Trained as a medical doctor, local resident Tess Gerritsen built a second career as a crime novelist, with 30 books to her credit. Gerry Boyle is the author of 15 crime novels, many set in Maine, including the Jack McMorrow mystery series. He is also the author of the Brandon Blake mystery series, featuring a young Portland police officer.

Call 785-4733, email librarian@voselibrary.org or visit the library to obtain a Zoom link.
