The Committee for the Future of the Thompson Community Complex (CFTCC) will hold a public spaghetti supper and silent auction to help raise funds on Saturday, May 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Gymnasium. Donated items up for bid in the silent auction will be on display and bidding will be open throughout the evening. Bidders do not need to be present to win.

The future of a town-owned complex of buildings in Union is the subject of the ad hoc CFTCC, which is working independently on holding a town meeting in the fall to determine what residents would like to see happen with the property. The formation of the committee is the result of a rejection by voters in 2017 of a proposal by selectmen to turn the property over to Penquis.
