Lincoln County Democratic Committee invites Boothbay region voters to an informal evening of conversation, music, food and libations to meet federal, state and county candidates on Thursday, September 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs bar room of the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, 86 Townsend Avenue.

Special guest State Senate Democratic Leader Troy Jackson of Allagash will discuss “What It Means to Be a Democrat and Why We Must Have a Blue Wave This November 6th!”

Candidates that have confirmed their attendance include Holly Stover of Boothbay, running for State Representative HD89 (Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb, part of South Bristol, Southport, Westport Island); Laura Fortman of Nobleboro, running for State Senate District 13 (Lincoln County minus Dresden plus Washington and Windsor); Natasha Irving of Waldoboro, running for District Attorney (Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc and Waldo counties); Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett of Nobleboro; and Zak Ringelstein of Cumberland, running for U.S. Senate.

Local guitarist Chip Schwehm and singer-songwriter John Schindler will provide the music. A cash bar will be available, along with refreshments at no charge.
