Maine All Care (MAC), a nonprofit organization advocating for health care for everyone, will hold a series of meetings with state legislators regarding the prospects for health care legislation in 2019.

“The people of Maine sent a clear message in November that health care is the number-one issue on their minds and our elected leaders seem to be responding. Now the real work of crafting solid policy that saves money and provides primary care for all begins,” said Phil Bailey, Maine AllCare’s executive director.

The following initial sessions with legislators have been scheduled:

• Sat., Jan. 12, 3:30 p.m., Ellsworth Area Chapter meeting at the Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center, 23 Commerce Park in Ellsworth. State Senators Geoff Gratwick and Louie Luchini and Representative Nicole Grohowski will attend. Other area representatives also invited.

• Thur., Jan. 17, 7 p.m., Portland Area Chapter meeting at Unitarian Universalist Church, 524 Allen Avenue in Portland. State Senator Heather Sanborn and Representatives Mike Sylvester and Rachel Talbot Ross will attend. Other area representatives invited.

• Sun., Jan. 20, 4 p.m., Blue Hill Area Chapter meeting at the Blue Hill Library. State Senator Geoff Gratwick and Representatives Genevieve McDonald and Sarah Pebworth will attend. Other area representatives also invited.

• Thur., Jan 31, 5:30 p.m., Brunswick Area Chapter meeting at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 1 Middle Street in Brunswick. Representatives Denise Tepler and Allison Hepler will attend. Other area representatives also invited.

• Thur., Feb. 14, 6:30 p.m., Waldo County Chapter meeting at Belfast Free Library. Senator Erin Herbig and Representative Jan Dodge will attend. Other area representatives also invited.
