The annual Halloween train known as the Boo-Choo-Choo Express on the Maine Eastern Railroad will run this year on Halloween, October 31. The train will depart from the historic downtown Rockland passenger depot on Union Street at 5 p.m.

Operating as a special excursion, the train will make only one round trip, from Rockland to Boo-Choo Junction.

The Boo-Choo-Choo Express will be decorated for the occasion and passengers should expect to see spooks and scary creatures on board as the train makes its way down the tracks.

All passengers are encouraged to wear costumes. Those without costumes may be asked to make scary faces for the duration of the trip, which is expected to last 75 minutes.

Tickets are $15 per person. For more information and reservations, call 596-6725, or toll-free 866-637-2457.
