We Love You.

Rose Agnes (O’Clair) Wilson of Thomaston and Largo, Florida, 87, passed away peacefully in Florida at Oak Manor Healthcare on February 10, 2017, after a period of declining health. Rose was born in St. Albans, Maine, to parents George and Leota O’Clair and was one of 17 children.

Rose and her husband Norman lived in Thomaston, Maine, while raising their six children. For many years she chose to be a stay-at-home mom and was a great homemaker to her family. She enjoyed spending summers at her family camp on McGrath Pond in Oakland, Maine. She was active leader in both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. For many years Rose was a crossing guard at the Thomaston grammar school helping students across Route 1. Rose had a zest for life, loved spending time with family, loved to laugh, loved to cook (it came natural to her), and loved to play cards.

Rose’s family said she was an amazing woman who always told you her options, right or wrong, and that she was always right … just ask her! Rose wintered in Florida from 1982 to the present time.

Left to cherish her memories is her daughter- Linda Wentworth of Rockland, Maine, and her five sons, Gerald (Mina) of Westerville, Ohio, James (Terrie) of Wilton, Maine, Paul (Alison) of Cushing, Maine, Patrick and his companion Jessie Buchanan of Thomaston, Maine, and Timothy (Kelly) of Thomaston, Maine. She also leaves behind her sister Edna Gamage of Spruce Head, Maine, as well as 14 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren,along with many friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Norman G.Wilson and granddaughter Ashton Elizabeth Wilson.
