The Strand Theatre in Rockland continues its Music On Screen Series on Saturday, May 5, at 8 p.m. with a screening of “Concert for George.” The 2003 film celebrates the life and music of former Beatle George Harrison.

On November 29, 2002, a year after Harrison’s death, Olivia Harrison and Eric Clapton organized a performance in his honor at London’s Royal Albert Hall. It featured Harrison’s songs and music he loved, performed by artists including Clapton, Joe Brown, Dhani Harrison, Jools Holland, Jeff Lynne, Paul McCartney, Monty Python, Tom Petty, Billy Preston, Ravi & Anoushka Shankar, Ringo Starr and others. The PG-13 film is directed by David Leland.
