Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands (BPL) has announced the launch of “Untold Secret,” a short film showcasing Maine public lands. “Untold Secret” includes a 21-minute version and nine one- to three-minute segments that introduce viewers to more than 600,000 acres of public lands. The film features commentary by BPL leaders and state-of-the-art cinematography, including drone footage. It presents aspects of Maine’s public lands ranging from wildlife habitat and timber management to outdoor recreation, ecological sensitivity and unfettered public access. The films are available for free use by conservationists, producers, school systems, economic development offices, libraries, and anyone interested in learning about and educating others about Maine’s public lands.
