On Monday, January 14, at 7 p.m. at the Colonial Theatre in Belfast, Belfast Historical Society & Museum and the Maine Ulster Scots Project will unveil three short films produced this summer by the Ulster Scots Agency and Tourism Ireland celebrating the connections between Maine and Northern Ireland. Speakers will include Megan Pinette of Belfast Historical Society Museum and Rebecca Graham of Maine Ulster Scots Project, who will explore historical sketches of Belfast’s Scots-Irish heritage and the legacy of the 1718 migration to Maine as well as the special projects under way for 2019 and beyond. Belfast Bay Fiddlers will perform throughout the evening.
