Camden Conference and Pine Tree Watch will host the world premiere of “The Nightcrawlers” at the 15th annual Camden International Film Festival on Friday, September 13, at 4 p.m. at Strand Theatre, 345 Main Street, Rockland. Admission is $10 or included with purchase of a CIFF All Access or Screenings pass. The filmmaker will be in attendance and the 40-minute film with be followed by a question-and-answer session. The film is an exposé of Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs, in which some claim over 20,000 people have been killed. “Nightcrawlers” reveals a twist behind Duterte’s deadly crusade. The 33rd annual Camden Conference, whose theme will be “The Media Revolution: Changing the World,” will take place February 21 to 23 at Camden Opera House and will be livestreamed to Hutchinson Center in Belfast, Strand Theatre in Rockland and Hannaford Hall in Portland.
