Camden Public Library and Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition will screen the documentary “Generation Found” on Thursday, June 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the library on Atlantic Avenue. Independently filmed over the course of two years, “Generation Found” tells the story of how Houston, one of the largest cities in the country, managed to ignite a youth addiction recovery revolution, as counselors, law school dropouts, aspiring rock musicians, retired football players, oil industry executives and church leaders joined forces to build the world’s largest peer-driven youth and family recovery community. “Generation Found” looks at how a system of treatment centers, sober high schools, alternative peer groups, and collegiate recovery programs can exist in concert to intervene early and provide a long-term alternative to the “War on Drugs.” A Q&A with Dr. Ira Mandel, executive director of Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition, will follow the screening.
