Please take seriously the welfare of the country and the implicit need to vote against the current Supreme Court nominee. It has been appalling that the U.S. Senate has moved to a simple majority vote for such important positions, especially after blocking the nominee of a moderate justice nominated by President Obama. With the retirement of Justice Kennedy, the Court needs a moderate replacement who will continue his legacy and help balance the Court. The current nominee, who is obviously pledged to overturn Roe v. Wade and other civil rights protections, is not such a moderate candidate. The nation needs you to step up with integrity to vote against him and insist on a return to a bipartisan approach to confirming Supreme Court justices.
