May 12: Tanja, a 606-foot bulk carrier, arrived in Searsport from Vila do Conde, Brazil, and delivered kaolin clay slurry, a glossy paper coating. It sailed May 13 for Trois-Rivières, Quebec.

May 13: Denali, a New York–based tug with fuel barge, arrived in Searsport from Portland and delivered ethanol, unknown quantity. It sailed May 14 for New York.

May 18: New England, a 600-foot Irving Oil tanker, arrived in Bucksport from New York and delivered 90,000 barrels of No. 2 oil. It sailed May 19 for Saint John, N.B.

May 30: Clipper Selo, a 590-foot bulk carrier, arrived in Searsport from Cartagena, Colombia, and delivered 30,000 tons of pet coke. It was scheduled to sail June 2.

Expected Arrivals:

June 2 — Anacostia, to Castine from New York, with a load of bunker fuel for Maine Maritime Academy’s training ship State of Maine.

June 5-6 — Noreaster, to Searsport, with unknown fuel.
