The Substance Use Prevention Partnership (SUPP) of Lincoln County is seeking new community members, including youths, to join their coalition.

The next meeting is at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, at Lincoln Academy, in the blue room of the ATEC building, in Newcastle. The public is invited to attend the meeting, during which priorities for the upcoming year will be discussed.

The SUPP Coalition has been working with community leaders and youth for the past three years to prevent youth substance use, and the group is looking for input and ideas as they determine goals for 2019.

Jess Breithaupt, project coordinator at Healthy Lincoln County, says, “I encourage residents from all walks of life to get involved with the coalition, even if they cannot attend the monthly meetings. We publish a monthly newsletter where you can read about our campaigns, and we welcome input via e-mail or in person at our office in Damariscotta. Our door is open to the residents of Lincoln County, and I encourage them to reach out to find out how they can be more involved in substance use prevention.”
