The second summer of Round the Mountain Trail construction, spearheaded by Coastal Mountains Land Trust, is in full swing. On Monday, June 22, work was expected to begin on the northern section of the Five Brooks/Round the Mountain Trail, immediately adjacent to Kuller Trail access and the south end of Freebooter. These improvements are to fix drainage and improve the trail tread. The construction closure is highlighted in yellow on the map, shown.

After this section is completed, riders, hikers and runners will once again be able to access Goose River Trails and the Ragged Mountain Preserve from the Snowbowl via Fitzy to Lower 5 Brooks, but the Round the Mountain Trail will be closed due to construction. CMLT trails planners do not yet know when this portion of trail will be reopened.
