On Wednesday, September 12, from 6 to 7 p.m., The Apprenticeshop, 655 Main Street in Rockland, will present Carl Lindquist speaking about his seven-week adventure sailing on a traditional Dutch barque from Cape Horn to the Cape of Good Hope.

Lindquist is a retired ophthalmologist who moors his “non-tall ship” at The Apprenticeshop. What began as small-boat sailing in childhood evolved into tall ship challenges in his retirement years. He has crewed on square-rigged ships for multiple ocean crossings.

The talk is free and open to the public with a suggested donation of $10. For more information, visit www.apprenticeshop.org, or call 594-1800.
