Sundog Outdoor Expeditions will offer two after-school programs beginning January 28: Mountain Biking on Winter Trails (fat-tire bikes) for fifth- and sixth-graders and Alpine Touring (backcountry skiing and snowboarding) for seventh- and eighth-graders. Sundog programs take place exclusively outdoors and include technical, skills-based learning, environmental education, a character curriculum and a community service project. Sundog is committed to bringing youth outdoors, away from screen-based media, and providing them with challenges. Each program meets twice weekly for six weeks, during which participants train and prepare for a wilderness expedition. After 12 sessions, students put their skills to the test on a final two-day expedition. For dates, costs, and other information, visit sundogoe.com.
