Georges River Land Trust will host The Last Hurrah, an end-of-summer ride on Monhegan Boat Line’s Elizabeth Ann (pictured) featuring oysters, signature drinks and other treats, on Thursday, September 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. Tickets for the fundraising cruise are $75 general admission, $67.50 for Georges River Land Trust members, and are available at georgesriver.org or by calling 594-5166. Brendan Parsons of The Shuck Shack in Newcastle will provide local oysters. Lake St. George Brewing Company in Liberty will serve Headwaters Kölsch, custom-designed for the land trust. Last Hurrah committee co-chairs Karin and Bob Weisert will fill out the menu with an assortment of beverages and appetizers to suit every taste. Ticketholders are requested to be on the Monhegan Boat Line dock in Port Clyde and ready to board at 4 p.m. sharp. The cruise will depart rain or shine, and tickets are nonrefundable.
