On July 2, a brief ceremony was held by Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition (BBWC) on the Belfast Rail Trail for the dedication of a display honoring Skip and Jo Pendleton. The small gathering included the Pendleton family, BBWC board members and City of Belfast officials. The display company, Penniar, suggested that the display contain no more than 80 to 100 words, otherwise people would not take the time to read it. After three attempts to keep to that number, BBWC settled on 114 words, realizing that it was impossible to capture all the contributions Skip and Jo Pendleton had made to the city of Belfast and surrounding area. The display is located at the beginning of the Rail Trail from the town entrance, providing good visibility for visitors.
