Belfast Farmers’ Market, open every Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the yard at Waterfall Arts, 256 High Street in Belfast, is participating in the SNAP Grows Gardens program again this season. Food plant seedlings are eligible for purchase under the guidelines of the SNAP nutrition incentive. The market offers a wide range of vegetable and herb seedlings qualifying for the program. More information may be found at snapgardens.org. Members also offer a wide selection of annual flowers, perennials, shrubs and tubers for the flower gardener. SNAP and EBT are accepted market-wide on purchases of qualifying food and seedlings. The market also hosts a weekly performance series with local and visiting talent. The June lineup includes Shana Hanson June 1, Helena Melone June 8, Martha Hills and Don DePoy (pictured) of Me & Martha June 15, Dave & Fran June 22 and Molly Gawler June 29.
