Camden Conference will host a free, public talk by Nick Mills, “Losing Afghanistan,” at Rockland Public Library on Thursday, October 3, at 6:30 p.m. Mills taught journalism at Boston University for 26 years. In the 1980s, he trained dozens of Afghan journalists and founded Afghan Media Resource Center, a full-service news agency. In 2004 and 2005, he worked in Kabul with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and collaborated with him on “Karzai: The Failing American Intervention and the Struggle for Afghanistan.” This year’s Camden Conference, The Media Revolution: Changing the World, will be held February 21 to 23.
