The 10th annual Champagne on the Sheepscot will take place on Saturday, September 15, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on the shores of the Sheepscot River in Newcastle. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be served while Lincoln Academy student jazz combos provide the soundtrack.

Ticket sales support Midcoast Conservancy’s work promoting healthy lands, waters, wildlife and people in the midcoast through conservation, education and outdoor recreation.

This year, the event will feature the raffle of a painting, “Life in the Kelp Forest,” created especially for the fundraiser by Alna artist Kate Nordstrom. Tickets for the raffle are $10 for one or $20 for three, and are available online at www.midcoastconservancy.org, as are tickets for the event, which are $65 per person and available through September 10.
