Five Town CSD Adult and Community Education invites the public on a bus trip to a fall festival at Strawbery Banke living history museum in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on Saturday, October 6. The 10-acre museum offers visitors 300 years of history through its many restored buildings, along with costumed roleplayers, interpreters and demonstrations by numerous craftspeople.

The fall festival is a traditional New England country fair complete with a shoemaker, gun maker, canvas rigger, horner, tinsmith, quilter, weaver and others. Livestock exhibits and demonstrations by shepherds, herding dogs and a rabbit warden will complete the day. Food and beverages will be available at Strawbery Banke Welcome Center’s cafe and at restaurants in town that are a short walk away.

Departure from Camden Hills Regional High School in Rockport will be at 8 a.m., and the bus will return at 9 p.m., with stops at Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro and Great Salt Bay School in Newcastle. There will be a rest stop at Kennebunk Plaza. Transportation will be provided by Northeast Charter and Tours, and tour leaders will be Marlene Hall and Barbara Hendricks.
