University of Maine Cooperative Extension and Maine Families will offer a free, online series for parents and caregivers of young children from 9 to 10 a.m. every Thursday, October 29 to November 19. The virtual coffee break, hosted by UMaine Extension Waldo County parent education professional Alicia Greenlaw, will be an informal way for participants to connect with other parents, ask questions and discuss relevant topics, including mindfulness for parents, diversifying a child’s library, co-parenting during the pandemic, and preparing for the holiday season. Registration is required; for details, and to sign up, visit extension.umaine.edu/register/shop. For more information or to request a reasonable accommodation, email Greenlaw at alicia.greenlaw@maine.edu or phone 944-1843.
