Let's Go! Waldo 5-2-1-0 is teaming up with the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood to urge families to join the nationwide Screen-Free Week, May 4 through 10.

During Screen-Free Week, children and adults pledge to spend seven days without watching television or playing video games. Instead, they are encouraged to read, play, create, get physically active, and spend more time with friends and family.

Studies show that children who watch less TV are more likely to read well and to be physically fit. Screen-Free Week is one way to jump-start children into more reading, learning, active play and family time.

Let's Go! 5-2-1-0 refers to eating 5 or more fruits and vegetables a day; limiting recreational screen time to 2 hours or less a day; engaging in 1 hour or more of physical activity a day; and consuming 0 sugary drinks.
