Maine Developmental Disabilities Council is holding a 2020 Inclusion Awards contest with essay and visual arts components and invites submissions from all Maine high school juniors and seniors.

Students are asked to write essays or create two-dimensional artworks responding to the prompt “What does the full inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities mean to you?”

The deadline for entries is Monday, February 3; prizes include educational awards ranging from $250 to $1,000 for individual entries. Teachers and schools will also have an opportunity to win  grants to support student education regarding inclusion.
