Central Lincoln County (CLC) YMCA is offering programs during the critical hours after school to school-aged children who attend Great Salt Bay (GSB) and Nobleboro Central schools.

The CLC YMCA’s after-school program is held at GSB School (kids are bussed from Nobleboro to the GSB site to participate in the program). During program time, youth receive help with homework; a healthy afternoon snack; time outside on the playground; daily focus on science/math, nutrition/wellness activities; arts and crafts; and a combination of staff-led programs and free time for exploration including theme months focusing on topics like fire safety, earth day, food and nutrition, and more. STEM and environmental education-based activities take place twice per week with Kathryn Jensen from Knox/Lincoln counties 4-H, in partnership with the Y’s after-school program.

For more information about the CLC Y’s after-school program, contact Molly Saunders, after-school coordinator, at msaunders@clcymca.org or 563-9622. Financial assistance is available to those in need, to ensure every child and teen has the opportunity to learn and grow at the Y.
