Rockland Public Library will host a reading and art program featuring Hazel Mitchell on Saturday, December 7, at 10:30 a.m.

Mitchell, author and illustrator of more than 20 children’s books, will read her “Where Do Fairies Go When It Snows?” followed by a draw-along session in which she will teach participants to create fairy-themed holiday cards.

Originally from England, Mitchell now lives in the midcoast and works in her Belfast studio. Her books have been recognized by Bank Street Best Books, Reading Is Fundamental, NYC Reads 365 and the Maine Library Association, among others.
