Skidompha Library, located at 184 Main Street in Damariscotta, is highlighting the books in its Maine collection, some of which are shown here, that focus on the state’s four Wabanaki tribes — Maliseet, Micmac, Penobscot and Passamaquoddy — in November, which is National American Indian Heritage Month. Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop, located at 17 Backstreet Landing in Damariscotta, behind the Elm Street Plaza, has created a cookbook display for the holidays in the shop’s middle room. The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; donations are accepted Monday through Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. — one bag per person. For more information, phone the library at 563-5513 or visit skidompha.org.
