New Books, New Readers is a new book club with a mission to encourage reluctant adult readers to find the joy in reading. The club is a collaboration between Five Town CSD Adult Education and Maine Humanities Council.

New Books, New Readers uses books at various, accessible reading levels. Participants will engage in facilitated discussions that relate a book’s themes to their own lives. Readers are given a copy of every book in the series to keep and are encouraged to share the book with family and friends. The club is also looking for volunteer tutors to help participants engage in the books between sessions.

New Books, New Readers will meet the last Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for five months, beginning February 26 and with the last meeting on May 28. Each session will meet at Camden Hills Regional High School, 25 Keelson Drive, off Route 90, in Rockport. Registration in the free club is limited, so early sign-up is encouraged.
