The Camden Conference will present “Poets Face Change” on Sunday, November 10, at 1 p.m. at Cushing Public Library. Poet Ellen Goldsmith will lead a participatory session in which 10 people will read and respond to poems by authors including Matthew Arnold, W. S. Auden, Naomi Shihab Nye and U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo. All are welcome. The theme of this year’s Camden Conference is The Media Revolution: Changing the World. Poets explore many of the questions inherent in the media revolution and grapple with the shifts and demands of a changing world. Goldsmith is professor emeritus of The City University of New York and lives in Cushing. Her books include “Where to Look,” “Such Distances” and “No Pine Tree in This Forest Is Perfect.” For more information, visit camdenconference.org or call 236-1034.
