“Love Your Library; Your Library Loves You” Open House —
Thursday, February 7, 2019 4:13 PM
A scene from last year’s “Love Your Library” open house.
Rockland Public Library will hold its sixth annual community-building “Love Your Library; Your Library Loves You” open house on Friday, February 15, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. There is no charge for the fun-filled evening, and soups, hot food, drinks, and desserts will be served. Jazz duo Bill Barnes and Doug Kennedy will provide music in the Reading Room. There will crafts led by local artist Susan Beebe (starting at 5 p.m.) and activities for children, as well as information about library resources people may not know about and much more. New this year is a “Guess Who?” game where attendees will have an opportunity to attempt to identify Rockland librarians based on photos of them from their youth. Those with a fine-free, current Rockland Public Library card are encouraged to put their names in for door prizes, which include an iPad and gift cards for local grocery stores and gas stations.
