River Arts, 241 Route 1, Damariscotta, has three shows on view through November 23. “Abstraction,” a show in the Main Gallery featuring selections by juror Michel Droge, has works by Maine artists Tom Flanagan, David Estey, Doreen Nardone, James Chute, John Lorence, Jaap Helder and others. Works represent a range of abstract concepts, including geometric, minimal, expressionist and lyrical abstraction. “Weaving and Painting” continues in West Gallery with works by Jill and John Butke. Invitational Hall features a members’ exhibit, “Plein Air,” with works by more than 30 artists focused on Maine landscapes.
