River Arts, a nonprofit arts center located at 36 Elm Street in Damariscotta, invites artists to submit work for a juried show, called “Wild Things,” to be held April 21–May 22. The deadline for submission is Saturday, April 17, at 4 p.m.

The juror will be writer, editor and photo stylist Jorge S. Arango, art reviewer for the Portland Press Herald and a regular contributor to Maine Home+Design magazine.

The show will include original works in all mediums, including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, fiber, photography and mixed media, and may be representational or abstract. Artists may enter two pieces with a size limit of 26" (in any direction), including frame, or one piece with a size limit of 48" including frame. There will be no exceptions.

Works must be delivered in person and must be gallery-ready and clean — no wet paint will be accepted. Wall pieces should be wired securely with picture wire.

The entry fee for members is $15; $25 for nonmembers. All works must be for sale and River Arts will retain a 35% commission on sold works. Notification of acceptance will be by Thursday, April 22.

Forms are available in the gallery or may be downloaded by visiting riverartsme.org. For more information, phone 563-6868.
