“Everyday Maine,” a photography exhibit that celebrates the diversity of Maine through everyday lives at home, at work and at play and attempts to capture all parts of the state, opened August 24 and will continue through December 14 at the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine at 46 University Drive on the University of Maine campus in Augusta. The public reception will be held on Saturday, September 8, from 2 to 5 p.m., with a brief program beginning at 3 p.m. The approximately 185 works in the show taken together tell a story of Maine’s diversity of ethnicities, traditions, jobs, economics, family units, and activities.
