Holly L. Smith is September’s featured artist at Bonnie Farmer Assemblage Art & Gallery, 166 Main Street in the south end of Rockland. An artist reception will be held during Rockland’s First Friday Art Walk, from 5 to 8 p.m. on September 7. Smith, who retired recently from teaching high school art and photography in the Rockland school system for over 31 years, is teaching an adult education class in watercolor this fall at Camden Hills Regional High School. Maggie Blue will also be at the gallery on Friday night and all day Saturday selling her glass-fused jewelry, and 3D assemblage art by Bonnie Farmer and abstract paintings by Jill Caldwell will also be on display.
