Sculpture by Stephen Porter to be auctioned at the GRLT gala
Georges River Land Trust will host All the Buzz, their annual summer gala, at the waterfront home of Barbara and Walter Reitz in South Thomaston on Thursday, July 25, at 6 p.m. The benefit will feature live music, cocktails, and silent and live auctions of fine art, jewelry, trips and accommodations, and outdoor experiences including guided hikes and island camping. Tickets to the gala, which will be catered by Green Bean Catering, are $100 per person, $75 for land trust members, and are available at georgesriver.org or by phone at 594-5166.

The work of 13 midcoast artists will be auctioned, including Andrew Wyeth, Anna B. McCoy, Eric Hopkins, Peter Ralston, Stephen Porter, Jim Dugan, Loretta Krupinski and Greg Mort.

Outdoor experiences to bid on include a guided hike and lunch with Maine Guide and Triple Crown Hiker Tom Jamrog; hosted camping on Crawford Pond’s 100 Acre Island; a three-night stay for a crowd at Saddleback and more.

Music will be provided by violinist Abigail Nash and three-piece combo The Extension Chords, both from Midcoast Music Academy in Rockland.
