The Farnsworth Art Museum will offer an online course called Ten Steps to Artistry, led by Katharine Cartwright, on Wednesdays, January 13 through March 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendance is limited to 12.

Students will learn to develop “artistry” in their work by discovering their artistic voice and style and by learning how to create paintings that reflect their concepts. They will also learn how to analyze their work for corrections. The course is for student painters at any level, working in the medium of their preference.

Local artist Cartwright received her formal academic training in fine art at Kutztown University, the College of Charleston and the Maryland Institute College of Art. She exhibits nationally and internationally.

The cost for the course is $450, $360 for members.
