“Homeland,” a new exhibit at Maine Farmland Trust Gallery, 97 Main Street in Belfast, is intended to reflect the deep relationship that comes from cultivating the land and a longing for connection with the land. The exhibit is promoted and curated in collaboration with Gedakina, Inc., an endeavor to strengthen and revitalize the cultural knowledge and identity of Native American youth and families from across New England. The exhibit features work by 16 artists that explores their relationship to home and land. It runs from November 12 through March 1. Artist talks will be held on Friday, November 16, at 5 p.m., with a reception following from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
