April is National Poetry Month, and the Good Tern Café Gallery in Rockland is planning its annual mail-in exhibition of poetry and art, which will run for the month of April. Good Tern Café Gallery usually features work by members, but its mail-in exhibition is open to submissions from the general public. Past years’ entries were received from as far away as the UK and Australia. Anyone of any age who is interested in submitting a piece or two or more for the “Poetry & Art VIII, A Mail Art Exhibition” is welcome to do so.

Poetry, visual art, poems inspired by visual art, visual art about poetry, drawings inspired by poetry, poems by artists, visual art by poets, etc. — anything that fits on a postcard of any size (or put in an envelope) and that relates, however loosely, to the theme of poetry and art is welcome. Email loisanne1001@aol.com with Poetry & Art in the subject line for more information. Entries may be signed or anonymous. They must be postmarked by March 25. Submissions should be sent to: Lois Anne, Curator of Poetry & Art, PO Box 1661, Rockland ME 04841.

Mail Art Exhibition submissions are usually not returned. However, for three weeks after the exhibition closes, the pieces will be available to be picked up at the Good Tern; those out of the area can send a SASE with their entry.
