The Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland will host “Musée des Beaux Arts: An Ekphrastic Reading,” by poet and art writer Carl Little, via Zoom on Wednesday, April 14, from 2 to 3 p.m.

In honor of National Poetry Month, Little will combine art and poetry in an aural-visual presentation. His reading of poems by Blake, W. H. Auden, Wislawa Szymborska, Rosanna Warren, William Carpenter and others will be accompanied by the artworks that inspired them, including Brueghel, Renoir, Audubon and Hopper.

In addition to a number of art books, Little is the author of “Ocean Drinker: New and Selected Poems.” His poetry has been featured in Maine Sunday Telegram’s “Deep Water” series and “Poems from Here” on Maine Public Radio and appears in “3 Nations Anthology: Native, Canadian and New England Writers.”

The cost is $10, free to museum members. To register, visit farnsworthmuseum.org.
