Three Cushing artists, John Paul Caponigro, Vic Goldsmith and Ellen Goldsmith, will present “Transcending Climate Grief with Art” on Friday, November 22, 6:30 p.m., at Cushing Public Library. The free event is inspired by Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project, which is encouraging the occurence of widespread awareness events that day. Caponigro, who attended Gore’s Climate Reality Leadership Corps training last April, will begin with a brief description of the state of the environment. The artists will then present works that celebrate nature and the beauty of the environment — Caponigro, a photograph, Vic Goldsmith, a sculpture, and Ellen Goldsmith, a poem.
