Harlow Gallery, 160 Water Street in Hallowell, will open its exhibition “POW!” with an artists’ reception on Friday, September 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. The gallery issued a call for comic book art and artwork inspired by comics, and 34 artists in Maine and out of state responded; among those exhibiting are midcoast artists Ted Closson of Bristol, Neal J. Clark of Dresden Mills, Suzanna Lasker of Jefferson, Kathy Weinberg of Morrill, Kitty Winslow of Rockland and Joshua Roberts of Unity. The exhibition will be on view through October 21; for more information, visit harlowgallery.org.
