Portland-based musicians Susanne Gerry, Seth Warner and The Old Souls will launch the 2019 concert season at the Opera House in Boothbay Harbor by presenting a complete live performance of Carole King’s 1971 record “Tapestry” on Saturday, January 12, at 7:30 p.m.

Eventually selling over 11 million units, the ground-breaking album earned four Grammy Awards in 1972, making King the first solo female artist to win the Grammy Award for Record of the Year, and the first woman to win the Grammy Award for Song of the Year.

Susanne Gerry and Seth Warner and their band The Old Souls will start the evening with an acoustic set of original music along with a selection of material from the early ’70s. Following a set break, the full band will return to the stage and finish the evening with a complete performance of “Tapestry.” The band includes guitarist Andy Argondizza, drummer Marty Joyce, keyboardist Mark Napoleone, bassist David Thibodeau and featured vocalist Gina Alibrio.

Advance tickets for the performance are $15 and currently available directly from the Opera House Box Office at 86 Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor or by calling 633-5159. Regular tickets are $20 and available online at boothbayoperahouse.com and at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m.
