The much-needed new roof on the Waldo Theatre building on Main Street in Waldoboro is complete. The crew from Coastal Copper and Slate, Inc. replaced rotten sheathing and sealed and prepared the theater for a weather-tight future. The Waldo board has now shifted its focus to interior restoration, starting with replastering, as well as hiring an executive director.

In a benefit for the Waldo Theatre, the Adam Ezra Group and Oshima Brothers will present a concert at Lincoln Theater in Damariscotta on Monday, May 27. Tickets are $30 and all proceeds will be donated to the effort to open the doors at The Waldo. Tickets can be purchased at Milling Around (67 Main Street in Newcastle), Skidompha Library in Damariscotta, Waldoboro Public Library or by phone with Bobby Whear at 441-2313.
